Lineage

    • Chokki Motobu was instructed primarily by Choyu Motobu, Ankoh Itosu, Kosaku Matsumura, Sakuma Peichin, Sokon Matsumura, Kunigami Peichin, and Tokumine Peichin.

 

    • Kenwa Mabuni was primarily instructed by Ankō Yasutsune Itosu, Higaonna Kanryō. Seishō Aragaki, Tawada Shimboku, Sueyoshi Jino and Wu Xianhui (Go-Kenki).

 

    • Kosei Kuniba was instructed primarily by Chokki Motobu.

 

    • Shogo Kuniba was primarily instructed by Kosei Kuniba, Mabuni Kenwa, Reshui Tomoyori, Sakagawa Ryusho, Shoshin Nagamine, and Taira Shinken.

 

    • Joe Ruiz was primarily instructed by Izumikawa Hirofumi, Egami, Kiyoshi Aihara, and Shogo Kuniba.

 

    • Gene Williams was instructed by Koto Higioshi, Ryuto Takizawa, Roy Hinkle, Richard Baillargeon and Joe Ruiz.

 

    • Doral Mills was instructed by Larry Adams, Tang Soo Doo 1972 to 1978; Joe Ruiz 1979-1993; Gene Williams 1979 to 2000; John Rudy 1997-present, John Hamilton 1997-present, and Lenny Jordan 2010-present.
