Sho ha Shorin ryu Seminar

October 17, 2011 by kogawabushidokai

I would like to thank Mr. Hamilton for sharing his Sho ha Shorin ryu methodologies at the seminar. He presented and better defined several kata, Sanchin, Wanshu, and Naihanchin. Hamilton Sensei helped the participants to better understand the essence and application of the above mentioned kata.

We had an informal class on the evening of 10/14/11 for several hours, and then on 10/15/11, the seminar lasted from 9:30 am until 5:30 pm with a one hour lunch. In the morning of 10/16/11 there was a 2.5 hour overview class for seniors. We will try to have Mr. Hamilton visit Kogawa Bushido Kai as often as possible. Please check this BLOG periodically.

I would also like to thank everyone who participated, especially Mr. Lenny Jordan, Sensei of the Kyoshinkan. It was enlightening to here Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Jordan exchange historical information and martial perspective at post seminar dinner at “Jackson’s on Sinclair.” One of Milledgeville’s finer dining establishments.
